Jointly established by the physics program of two universities, the major of Applied Physics introduces the core curriculum system of  Australian National University. It aims to foster specialized talents who are proficient in computers and have a solid theoretical foundation of semiconductor physics, film material preparation and testing, integrated circuits, modern optical material technology, materials simulation and computation, and possess the ability to further study in certain professional areas, such as semiconductor materials and devices, functional films, photonic crystals, new material simulation and computation, and modern test technologies. After four years’ study, students could use their scientific knowledge to analyze and solve problems from an international perspective, becoming qualified global citizens with professionalism and social responsibility.
