Experience:

2019 English Teacher, Leicester University Summer Prep Program, BISU university campus, Beijing, China. I taught Academic English to college students preparing to transfer to Leicester University, in the UK.

2014-2018 ESL Teacher. Wall Street English training center, Shenzhen, China. I taught English to all levels of adult Chinese students.

2012-2014 ESL English Teacher. Englishdom online ESL school, Moscow/Ukraine. I taught English to foreign students in several different countries by skype.

2010-2011 ESL/Academic English Teacher. Spring International Language Center, Auraria campus, Denver, Colorado. I taught several different levels of ESL classes and study hall for a variety of international students preparing for university in the U.S.

2008- 2010 Video Production / Photography Teacher. Ahlia University, Manama, Bahrain. I taught the first Video Production 101 courses, and Photography 101 courses.  I also wrote curriculum for several media production courses.

2006-2008 ESL/TOEFL teacher, American Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC), Juffair, Bahrain. I taught full-time 2 years, then part-time, ESL and TOEFL preparation classes, ages 12 to adult, all levels, to Arab and other international students.

1994-1995 ESL Teacher, AEON Corp., Tokyo, Japan. I taught ESL in one of the largest schools in Japan (over 200 branches). The students included high school and college students, scientists, business people, housewives, etc., in classes ranging from private lessons to 25 students.

Awards/Honors/Grants:

2009 UCLA Festival of New Media, premiere of “Echo Park Film Center,” a short documentary produced and directed by Aaron Wilde. Also, the film has been shown more than 50 times by the EPFC, a non-profit film center offering free film classes to low-income youth in Los Angeles.

2003 Finalist, Los Angeles Roy W. Dean video grant

2002 Finalist, Sundance Filmmaker’s Lab screenwriting contest, for feature film script, “Humboldt County”

2002 Fellowship awarded by Vice-Chancellor, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
