On April 12, Liang Weiguo, vice president of Taiyuan University of Technology, visited Shandong University, Weihai campus (SDUW). Xia Lidong, the vice president of SDUW met with the visitors and exchanged views on issues related to the internationalization of university. Relevant personnel from the Preparatory Office of the SDU-ANU Joint Science College, Shandong University attended the meeting.
After welcoming the arrival of the delegation of Taiyuan University of Technology, Xia Lidong briefly introduced the development of SDUW, and gave a detailed explanation on the Sino-foreign cooperative education projects and the construction of SDU-ANU Joint Science College. Afterwards, Liang Weiguo gave a brief introduction of the basic situation of Taiyuan University of Technology. He hoped that the internationalization of SDUW, such as Sino-foreign cooperation education projects and Sino-foreign cooperation in running school, may offer some experience and inspiration which are needed to accelerate the progress of the internationalization of Taiyuan University of Technology.
On the meeting, personnel from the Preparatory Office gave an account of the project application of SDU-ANU Joint Science College. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on specific issues such as application materials, party construction, rules and regulations, financial management, introduction of quality resources, educational management, and student management of Sino-foreign jointly-run college.
