Zhang Xijun, Party Secretary and Du Wei, Executive Dean of Trier College of Sustainable Technology, Yantai University visited SDU-ANU Joint Science College for research and exchange on July 30, 2021. Kong Haiyan, Director of the International Office, SDUW, Party Dean Shan Bingbo, Vice Dean Chang Xiaomei and Vice Party Dean Fan Qixue of JSC were present at the discussion. Executive Dean Lv Guangshi and Vice Dean Bai Ming of JSC participated online.
On behalf of the college Shan Bingbo expressed warm welcome to the visitors. Lv Guangshi briefly introduced the undergraduate programme, enrollment, teaching staff and talent cultivation of the college. He stated that there was much room for the two colleges to have exchange and cooperation in terms of Chinese-foreign cooperative education. Kong Haiyan recalled the work on welcoming the 2019 cohort students and the inaugural ceremony of JSC. She said that the Chinese cooperative educational institutions between China and other countries should make efforts to develop with characteristics and create highlights in internationalisation.
Zhang Xijun conveyed first his sincere gratitude to JSC and the International Office for the warm reception. Then he briefly introduced Yantai University Trier College of Sustainable Technology and hoped to learn the successful experience from JSC.
Finally, the two sides discussed in-depth some issues commonly concerned in such aspects as institutional operation system and mechanism, faculty and staff, undergraduate programmes, Party building, ideological and political work, English teaching and cultivating students. Both agreed to maintain exchanges of visits and promote jointly the cultivation of international talents.
