On 20 March, leaders of the SDU-ANU Joint Science College (JSC), Executive Dean Lv Guangshi, Party Dean Liang Fengjun and Vice Dean Bai Ming as well as He Mu, Deputy Director, the University Facilities Services, SDUW led a team to visit Aulin College, Northeast Forestry University.
At Aulin College, Dean Liu Zhiming and Party Dean Yu Yang extended their warm welcome to JSC delegation’s visit. Then Liu Zhiming gave a general introduction to the college elaborating on the college’s education philosophy, modes of talent cultivation and management and its developing goals from such aspects as teaching workforce building, students' future development planning, infrastructure building and evaluation on Chinese-foreign cooperative educational institutions; Yu Yang shared his thoughts and experience on Party building work and ideological management.
Lv Guangshi expressed his thanks to them for sharing their valuable work experience and spoke highly of their good practices. Then he introduced JSC briefly focusing on laboratory building, finance management, teaching workforce building and preparation for the evaluation on the institution. Then Liang Fengjun talked about JSC’s Party building work. He said that the two colleges have much in common, and Aulin College’s experience in system establishment will serve as a useful reference for JSC. He looked forward to taking this visit as an opportunity to jointly build a good cooperative relationship with each other and improve the quality of education by mutual reinforcement.
Next the two sides had a thorough exchange and discussion on issues such as college organisation, educational mode, the work of Youth League Committee and Student’s Union, teaching quality assurance system, faculty building, interpretation of the evaluation indicators and teaching infrastructure building in addition to effective measures to improve the quality of Chinese-foreign cooperative education. After the meeting, the visitors were shown around the facilities, esp. IT facilities in offices and classrooms.
