4+0 Model
Based on the preponderant disciplines in both Shandong University and Australian National University, SDU-ANU Joint Science College introduces the teaching model, curriculum system and teaching resources from ANU. By adopting the advanced international educational philosophy and teaching quality evaluation system and offering excellent teaching conditions as well as international atmosphere, JSC encourages and supports the students in transdisciplinary education and personalized development aiming to cultivate creative elites with international outlook and practical ability so as to enable the graduates to further study in famous overseas universities and enhance their global employability
Currently there are two models in operation, the “4+0” model and “3+1+1” articulation model.
The “4+0” model means the students will be awarded graduation certificate and certificate of bachelor’s degree from Shandong University having completed the four-year undergraduate program in Shandong University, Weihai with qualified standing. The prescribed major courses are taught jointly by both SDUW and ANU academic staff. Besides, JSC encourages and sponsors its students to take part in short-term ANU learning programs. At the completion, those who meet the requirements will receive a certificate from ANU.
