The students from applied physics and biological sciences expressed their hope for improvement in the allocation and coordination of teaching resources in terms of class time and classroom arrangement. Besides, some students spoke out their concerns and bewilderment about their major studies.
Prof. Bai Ming exchanged views with the participants answering questions with experiences of his own and his previous students. He encouraged them to strengthen their self-management and self-monitoring, and put forward three suggestions. Firstly, they are supposed to make full use of the learning resources to explore knowledge actively and enhance their knowledge ability. Secondly, they must study actively and develop interest in their studies so as to study effectively. Finally, they are to set a long-term goal and not to seek quick success and instant benefits.
The teacher-student symposiums serve as a platform for teachers and students to exchange their views freely. It plays an active and effective role in improving the quality of fostering outstanding innovative talents with morality.
