26th Coffee Time——Career Guidance Series (No.2) Held

    On 5 March, SDU-ANU Joint Science College (JSC) successfully held the 26th Coffee Time themed Career Guidance Series. Ms. Sunny Li, Student Engagement Manager at ANU China Centre was invited to share and provide guidance to the students regarding their future employment, assisting them in finding their ideal career path. Prof. Chang Xiaomei, Vice Dean, JSC hosted the event. Deputy Party Dean Wang Wei was present in person. The JSC juniors, seniors and students studying at ANU participated both online and offline.

    Chang Xiaomei first extended her warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Ms. Sunny Li for her presence. She encouraged the students to have a right attitude towards employment, position themselves correctly, broaden their employment view and channels, and strive to improve their overall competency and practical skills.

    Sunny Li gave a brief introduction to ANU China Centre. She said that the Centre is committed to providing resources and platforms for them, such as exclusive internship at top companies and institutions, full-time job opportunities, job search assistance and career counselling, etc. She also analysed the grim domestic employment situation and common issues students face in job hunting. During the Q&A session, she answered patiently the questions on career planning one by one. From her presentation the students thought that they benefited a lot indeed.

This event is conducive to the students' setting their life goals and sticking to their development path to enhance their competitiveness in the future job market. Meanwhile, it has further expanded channels for job seeking and bridged the gap between students and enterprises. In future, the college will continue to organise diverse and high-quality career planning and employment guidance activities, innovate modes of talent cultivation and career guidance in order to help high-quality employment.
