A delegation led by Executive Dean Xiong Deming and Party Dean Luo Mingzhong of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology University of South Australia An De College (An De College) visited SDU-ANU Joint Science College (JSC) for in-depth exchanges on the afternoon of 12 July. Liang Fengjun, Party Dean of JSC, vice deans Chang Xiaomei and Baiming attended the meeting.
Liang Fengjun welcomed the delegation and made a general introduction to JSC from the aspects of cooperation partners, Party building work, undergraduate programmes, faculty, teaching and talent cultivation etc. He illustrated the college’s distinctive characteristics of deep exchange and integration with the foreign partner and innovative mode of talent cultivation with competitiveness. He said that An De College and JSC are both educational institutions conducting cooperation with Australian universities. Therefore, there is much room for exchange and collaboration between the two colleges in such areas as system reform and talent cultivation.
Xiong Deming spoke highly of JSC’s achievements, and he also introduced briefly An De College. He stated that the innovative measures and achievements in education made by JSC in cultivation mode, teaching and so on are all worth learning from by An De College. He hoped to take this opportunity to enhance the communication between the two sides so as to jointly promote a high-quality development of Chinese-foreign cooperation in education.
Then the participants from both sides had detailed and in-depth exchanges in terms of management system building, cultivation of international talents, Party building work as well as teaching management and quality monitoring.
Following the meeting, the delegation also visited the JSC teaching facilities and the Observatory.
