Recently, the photography competition titled “SDU-ANU Through the Lens” was successfully and jointly held by the Youth League Committee of SDU, Weihai, ANU College of Science, SDU-ANU Joint Science College (JSC), and the Australian Alumni Association. This contest, as part of the ‘Leap into ANU’ International Exchange Month series, gathered over 70 photographs capturing unique views of the two campuses. These photos taken showcased the distinct perspectives and aesthetic tastes of all participants on the theme, serving as a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the Weihai campus.
Upholding the principles of fairness, justice, and openness, this photography competition invited experts from the campus Youth League Committee, Publicity Department, Student Affairs Office, and the School of Arts as the judges, and introduced an online voting system to evaluate the photos comprehensively based on thematic relevance, technical skill, creativity, and expressiveness. In the end, Li Zihan and Wang Haoyang were awarded first prize, while Zhang Wentong and Wu Heyue received second prize, and Guo Yuebo and Wang Tianwei were awarded third prize. Wang Xinting and Li Wenbo received honorable mentions.
